It's A New Year !!!
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE !!! Looking back on the months gone by, As a new year starts and an old one ends, We contemplate what brought us joy, And we think of our loved ones and our friends. It'a a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new light. It's a new year. Yeah...2008 was a blast. Now let's make this new year an even better one. So how did I celebrate it?...Went to the countdown of course...LOL...On 31 December, started the day at a Hotel in Orchard Road for a family dinner. With family and some friends to celebrate this joyous event. Dressed formally and buffet style lunch. Not bad after all. I had plenty of fun with my beloved ones. Pictures will be uploaded soon if I ever get them. After dinner, sent someone to work and met my buddies at City Hall MRT. At around 9 plus. Rizal and Hairie were there first. So, we decided to walk to Marina Square while waiting for Arif, my other buddy. He was late, again. Didn't mind. Then, at Marina Square, met up with Fitri and Pei Shan since they were there as well. My friends also got to meet them. Two worlds collide...LOL We hung out together and Arif arrived shortly after. All of us clicked soon after.
Shan-ling & Me Pei Shan and I then got hungry, while the rest were not. So, went to 7 Eleven to get Cup Noodles but they were really expensive and it was like crowded everywhere. Therefore, went to Thai Express for Tom Yam as Shan-ling was craving for it. So the three of us including Fit, had a late dinner at Thai Express. Tom Yam was nice. The other friends of mine hung out at the arcade as they did not want to eat....Haha...Well, too bad for them.
Bff...Thanks for everything... After eating, met up with my buddies again and went to find a spot to view the fireworks. It was hard to find one as it was already jammed packed at that moment. So, we went up a flight of stairs where there was space. Unfortunately, the view was not that great. But, at the stroke of midnight, Happy New Year and the fireworks went off. We managed to get a few nice sights of the fireworks. That was good enough for us. At that point, received many SMS wishes and I too wished everyone I know... a happy new year. I hugged all my buddies and wished them a year ahead. After that, Fit and Shan went their own ways. And the rest of us went to, SHISHA....Haha...Second time for me. It was like already 12 plus in the morning and we still walked to Arab Street from there. Shisha-ing was fun. I had a go at it. Not too bad though. Ordered sandwiches and french fries as well. Called the rest of our buddies to join us. We chilled, ate, and even played cards as well, just to have fun. The company was great. Shisha-ed till about 4 am.
Arab Street... After that, took cab to someplace I won't speak much of and chilled there till about 5.30am. Long story. Walked to Kallang bus interchange to catch the first bus home at 5.45am. I reached home at around 7.30 am and landed immediately on my bed. It was calling for me already...Haha...ZZZZZ So, that was how I celebrated my new year with my beloved friends and family. An awesome start to the year. Hope everyone had a great start to it too. And Princess Of Smiles, I was completely estatic to hear from you. I miss you so much and have been wondering where you've been. I don't know why I been wondering where you've been but I just very glad you're safe. Miss ya like crazy...Hehe...Well, a very happy new year to you. You rock. :) I specially dedicate this poem to you, my Princess Of Smiles :) My Happy New Year wish for you, Is for your best year yet. A year where life is peaceful, And what you want, you get. And yes, once again, a very happy new year to everyone. I wish you a great and blessed year ahead...
